INGREDIENTS
6oz. Plain Flour
1½oz. Castor Sugar
3oz. Currants
3oz Lard
¼ tsp Salt
Peel (if liked)
**SEMI-RICH FRUIT CAKE 7″cake tin
INGREDIENTS
8oz. Self Raising Flour
4oz. Margarine
4oz. Castor Sugar
2 Beaten Eggs
8oz. Dried Mixed Fruit
3-4 tablespoon Milk
1 tsp. Vanilla Essence
Creaming methodOven 350°F, 170°C or Gas Mark 5 for 1 hour 15 mins.- 1 hour 30 mins
*** Biscuits
8oz. (220gm) Self Raising Flour
Pinch of Salt
3-4oz( 90-110gm) Margarine
3-4oz (90-110gm) Caster Sugar
1 Small Egg or Egg Yolk
Rub in method, add sugar, then egg, kneed. Roll out to ⅛″ (3mm), cut into rounds. Brush with beaten egg & sprinkle with sugar. Moderate oven 10-15 mins.
