We had one of the largest entry of Heavy Horses in Cornwall this year. Four breeds were represented, Shires, Clydesdales, Suffolk Punches and a Percheron. Our Judge was Chris Wilton from Devon and Peter Clarke gave an excellent and informative commentary throughout the day. All day long there many spectators around the ring enjoying watching the horses being shown in-hand, in harness, ridden, driven and competing in a timed obstacle course.The day ended with a grand parade on all horses and the trophies were presented.
Champion horse, Hiraethog Holly, a Shire mare owned and shown by Kerry Roberts
Reserve Champion was a Percheron gelding, Galilean du Rocheteau, owned by Ron Alderman and shown by Beatrice Rios.

Spectators, exhibitors and helpers all agreed the new venue was ideal and there were so many positive comments about the Show.

The display of the Tractors, Cars and Motorcycles received an excellent response from the public throughout the day.
The display consisted of 10 Tractors, 34 Cars and 3 Motorcycles
Mr Peter Glasson of Glassons Garage administered the judging of the cars
Best Car in Show : Mr Kevin Mitchell of Camborne with his 1964 Ford Zephyr 6.
An anonymous person was appointed to judge the Vintage Tractors
Best Tractor in Show : Mr Graham Tippett with his Massey Ferguson 135.


The Domestic team handled nearly 700 entries from over 200 competitors. Judges commented at how high the standards were whilst the entries numbers also increased which is promising for the growth of the section in the future - particularly pleasing to see was an increase in entries in the junior section.
Mrs Julia Simpson took the overall points for the domestic section for her handicraft exhibits of best hand knit and best hand spinning. New comer to Camborne Show, Daniel Rule won best photography exhibit and took the most points trophy.
Another first time entrant Mrs Jayne Walker took best exhibit for her handmade waist coat and tie. The baking prizes were shared between Emma Mankee, Nikki Pengilly and Holly Morgans, with Peter Bodilly taking the Best Cornish exhibit title with his Heavy Cake. Kay Kemp retained her preserves titles in 2025 with prizes for her jam, savoury preserves and infused alcohol.
There was nearly 30 entries across the Adults with learning disabilities categories with Jack Freeman taking home most points and trainees from Kehelland Trust best exhibit.
In juniors, it was delightful to see increased numbers of entrants for teenager categories. Sisters Madison and Emilia Thomas took home prizes as well as first time entrant Evie Eustace for her butterfly buns. Endolyn Walker took home the best exhibit prize for her engine house model.
1st Camborne Brownies retained best composite exhibit shield and Kehelland Village School retained the schools points challenge for the third year.
